Kari & Morgan l Utah Anniversary Photography

I went to high school with this amazing girl. And amazing she truly is. Anyone that knows her and what she has gone through in the last several months knows that she is one tough cookie. Earlier this summer while out training for a half marathon one morning Kari was hit by a car. The car fled the scene and left her there. Luckily a neighbor found her and was able to call an ambulance. She suffered from a broken femur, collar bone, elbow, knee, a fractured pelvis, and many more injuries. But the most miraculous thing is that she has defied her expected recovery and is currently a year ahead of where doctors said she would be. When we did our session it had just been 4 short months since her accident and she was walking unassisted. I was amazed! And though she still has a long road ahead of her, something truly horrible happened to her and she has not let it hold her back. What an amazing example for us all.
Kari runs an awesome blog called Newlyweds on a Budget where she posts craft ideas and recipes and lots of cool things. I love looking through it at all the cute ideas she comes up with. She has also posted several posts about her accident and her recovery that are truly inspirational. You can follow Kari's blog here and her Facebook page here.

Wilson Family l Utah Extended Family Photography

I had a lot of fun shooting pictures of this family a few weeks ago. The whole family was in town from out of state and even from other countries! I was glad I was able to take some pictures for them when they were all here. One of the families is my aunt and uncle and cousins whom I absolutely love and I am so glad that this gave me an excuse to spend some time with them.

Smith Family l Utah Family Photography

I had so much fun taking this family's pictures. They were such a great group that was willing to give anything a try so we were able to get a lot of variety in the shots we took. And what a good looking group, right? Makes my job so easy!
